Tender description

The Ministry of Defence has awarded a call-off contract to Gartner UK Limited for the provision of digital and technology research, advisory and executive support services under Lot 3 (Cloud Support) of the G-Cloud 14 Framework Agreement (RM1557). The contract provides named senior Defence digital, data and security leaders with individual access to Gartner's research and advisory services. Elements of the services include, but are not limited to, the following: - Access to independent research, analysis, forecasts and market intelligence covering digital, data, cyber security, software engineering, cloud services and emerging technologies. - Access to analysts and subject-matter experts for enquiries, briefings and advisory discussions. executive-level advice and decision support to inform technology strategies, investment decisions, organisational planning and capability development. - Tools and research to support the identification, tracking and assessment of technologies, applications, suppliers and wider developments across global information technology markets. - Access to peer networks, facilitated discussions and mentoring opportunities with leaders from comparable organisations. - Support in assessing technology trends, risks, opportunities, delivery approaches and relevant industry good practice; and, - Assistance in reducing the time and internal resource required to investigate emerging technologies and develop evidence-based digital, data and security strategies. The contract is intended to strengthen the Authority's strategic decision-making by providing timely access to independent market insight, specialist expertise and external perspectives. It will support senior leaders in developing future digital, technology, data and cyber security strategies and plans, while improving their understanding of relevant market developments and potential technology benefits. The initial contract term is 12 months, from September 2026 to August 2027, with an option for the Authority to extend the contract by up to a further 12 months for a maximum duration of 24 months. The maximum value (inclusive of extension) is £918,000 excluding VAT.
