Tender description
The University conducted a direct award under Lot 2 of the Government Commercial Agency G-Cloud Framework (RM1557.14) Lot 1: The University has awarded a contract for Emergency Communication System. The software will be able to issue emergency communications to a large audience through secure group messaging from management in threatening situations. This is in response to the UK Counter Terrorism Strategy (CONTEST) and The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill (Martyn’s Law) which place statutory duty of care to the University to effectively prevent, plan for and respond to a terrorist attack; an emergency communications capability will be fundamental to this.
