About the buyer
Devon County Council runs local government services across Devon, and buys as a local authority through procurement specialists based across its eight directorates. The council is also a member of the Devon and Cornwall Procurement Partnership, alongside district councils, colleges and NHS services in the region. Social care and health providers work with a separate Provider Engagement Network and Market Management Team. Prospective providers meet that team to discuss proposals before any contract is issued.
Over the past 5 years, most of Devon County Council's contract awards have been in construction work, transport services and health and social work.
