Platform Tenders

Two routes. Search the public portals for what is open now, or move earlier and read the pre-tender records: 279 of the 2,579 platform notices on record sit at that stage, which is where a buyer says what it wants before the specification is locked. Stotles aggregates 100+ portals, and platform-wide 3,225 notices were added in the last week.

Three broad shapes. Buying or licensing an existing product, which is most of it: 403 of the matching notices carry CPV 48000000 (Software package and information systems). Paying someone to build or extend one, tagged 72000000 (IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support) on 396 notices. Then the hosting, migration and support work that follows once the thing is live.

Seven, at the last count, against 1,207 awarded notices and 279 at pre-tender. Open counts on this topic stay low because the word platform turns up more often in a description than in a title, and descriptions are fullest on award notices. Platform-wide, 5,226 tenders are open across every topic Stotles tracks.

Two carry most of it: 48000000 (Software package and information systems), on 403 of the matching notices, and 72000000 (IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support), on 396. Neither is used as a filter here. Plenty of genuinely relevant notices carry no code at all, and adding the sample's five most common codes to the keyword filter drops the result set from 2,579 notices to 777.

Mostly framing. A software notice names a product or a licence. A platform notice names something users log into, so the scope tends to stretch to hosting, integration and ongoing support: platform hosting, platform migration and platform subscription all turn up as phrases in their own right in this corpus. If you sell a hosted product, watch both.
