Tender description

Call-off contract awarded under the Procurement for Housing Material Supply framework. The contract covers the supply and delivery of building materials and associated services required for responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and capital works across the housing trust's property portfolio. The agreement is for an initial term of 5 years with the option to extend for up to a further 5 years (5+5 years total). Lot 1: This contract is for the managed supply and delivery of a comprehensive range of building materials, heavy side products, and plumbing/electrical components to support the Contracting Authority's internal maintenance teams and appointed contractors.Scope of Supplies:The core scope includes, but is not limited to:General building materials, timber, and joinery products. Plumbing, heating, and electrical components. Sanitaryware, ironmongery, and kitchen/bathroom replacement units. Civils, roofing materials, and safety/PPE equipment. Scale and Delivery: Supplies will support the day-to-day responsive repairs, void property turnarounds, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and cyclical capital works programs across the trust's entire property portfolio (approximately 5400 properties). The contract requires a mixture of branch network provisioning / direct-to-site delivery / van-stock replenishment to ensure high first-time fix rates. Contract Mechanics and Value: The contract is awarded under a framework agreement with an initial term of 5 years. It contains options to extend for additional periods up to a further 5 years (maximum total duration of 10 years). The total estimated value of £20,000,000 reflects the maximum projected expenditure across the full 10-year lifecycle, accounting for potential stock increases, inflation, and shifting material demands. Extension options will be exercised solely at the discretion of the housing trust, subject to strict KPI performance and value-for-money reviews.
