About the buyer

Framework agreements cover major packages, such as the lifts and escalators for Phase One stations. Four tier-one joint-venture contractors, including EKFB and Align JV, deliver the main civils work. Those contractors procure their own tier-two subcontractors, who source further down the chain.

Over the past 5 years, most of HS2's contract awards have been in construction work, metals and mining products and transport equipment.
