Tender description
The University of Strathclyde, ("the University") is seeking to appoint a contractor to undertake works related to a project for the design & construction of a semiconductor cleanroom (ISO Class 5) within the existing ANZIC facility at Inchinnan. Lot 1: The University is seeking to appoint a works / construction contractor for the design & construction of a ISO Class 5 Semiconductor Cleanroom at Advanced Net Zero Innovation Centre (ANZIC) in Inchinnan. Works include downtakings and alterations, slab isolation, structural works, cladding, specialist fit out and finishes, M&E plant and services, connections to existing systems and the adjacent ISO Class 7 cleanroom, testing, comissioning and validation. The Objective is to deliver a fully coordinated, compliant and operational cleanroom through a single-point design and build arrangement, while maintaining the operation of the wider ANZIC and Rolls-Royce facilities. The Contractor will be responsible for completing the Works relevant to the project and based on the Specification / Scope. Inclusive of this project is a 12-month defects liability period. Please note, the following roles have been set out as part of the Contract: - Client: University of Strathclyde - Architect / Contract Administrator: ECD Architects Ltd (03028104) - Principal Designer: ECD Architects Ltd (03028104) - Quantity Surveyor: Armour Construction Consultants - Principal Contractor: TBC. Economic operators may be excluded from the competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
