Tender description
Ensuring power resilience across operational assets is a critical priority for United Utilities, with substantial investment expected to continue throughout the remainder of AMP8 and into AMP9. United Utilities is therefore exploring the establishment of a dedicated Power Resilience framework to provide a more integrated and efficient route for the delivery of power resilience solutions and associated services. The proposed approach seeks to consolidate requirements across multiple workstreams, improve commercial and operational efficiency, increase delivery agility, and provide a consistent contractual structure aligned to anticipated AMP8 & AMP9 requirements. The framework is expected to support a broad range of activities, including power resilience equipment supply, design and build services, LV and HV inspection and maintenance services, and Independent Connection Provider (ICP) services. Through this Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise, United Utilities aims to gain insight into market capability, capacity, and supplier perspectives on the proposed scope, lot structure, and delivery approach.
