Tender description

The RSPB is seeking an experienced peatland restoration contractor to deliver Phases 3 and 4 of the Lumbister Peatland Restoration Programme on Yell, Shetland. The contract covers the restoration of approximately 99 hectares of degraded blanket bog through a range of peatland restoration techniques, including drain and gully blocking, peat hag reprofiling, bare peat stabilisation and installation of timber dams. The contract will be delivered over two winter working seasons between September 2027 and March 2029.
