The Department of Defence has issued this Request for Information (RFI) to engage with the market and better understand available solutions, services, software, training, and specialist support capabilities in the areas of cost engineering, systems engineering, operational analysis, economic appraisal, financial analysis, and project management. The information gathered will support the Capability Development Unit in developing a sustainable and integrated capability framework to underpin long term defence planning and investment decisions, including the Capability Development Programme to 2040. Through this market engagement exercise, the Department seeks to understand suppliers’ capabilities, implementation approaches, access to relevant cost data, and ability to deliver independent, robust, and auditable whole-life cost estimates and analytical support that enhance evidence based decision making, programme oversight, risk management, affordability assessment, and value-for-money outcomes across defence capability programmes.
