Scottish Trunk Road NMC - North West - A82 Grotaig to Alltsigh Rock Slope Stabilisation

Tender description

Rock slope stabilisation works are proposed along the A82 between Grotaig and Alltsigh, focusing on Group 1 (Chainage 680m to 890m). The objective is to mitigate the risk of rockfall and slope instability affecting the trunk road and to enhance road user safety. The scope of works is expected to include vegetation clearance and tree felling where necessary, scaling of loose or unstable rock, and subsequent detailed inspection and assessment. Installation of rock slope netting systems will be undertaken, including integration with existing systems where required, along with associated traffic management and temporary works. The tender will be evaluated on a 40% Quality and 60% Price basis. Quality submissions will be assessed against criteria set out in the tender documentation, while Price will be based on the total tendered cost. Construction is anticipated during the 2026/2027 financial year, with an estimated duration of 12 weeks. Programming of the works will need to align with Forestry and Land Scotland felling operations.
