Tender description

Provision of cleaning, portering and ancillary services across NHSBT North regional sites, including clinical, donor centres, laboratories, blood processing facilities and associated premises.<br/>The service supports critical NHSBT operations including blood,tissue and transplant services and must comply with stringent requirements including Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and MHRA standards. Lot 1: NHS Blood and Transplant is progressing a strategic transformation of Estates and Facilities services through the procurement and mobilisation of a Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract.<br/>Alternative routes to market including frameworks were explored and deemed unsuitable due to lack of compliant direct award routes or higher pricing.<br/>A 360-degree commercial review has been undertaken with incumbent supplier, identifying efficiency savings and confirming value for money.<br/>The modification does not alter the overall nature of the contract and is time-limited to 30 September 2028 to support transition to the TFM model.
