Tender description
Safety Central is Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's safety and life skills education centre, located in Lymm just outside Warrington.(WA13 0TE) Opened in July 2017, we offer a number of learning programmes to teach children, young people and adults ways of staying safe at home, online, on the roads and while out and about. Learning takes place in four themed zones, carefully designed to be realistic and simulate a host of hazards that visitors might experience in different environments. For the most part, activities are delivered by trained volunteer rangers who are managed by a small staff team from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's Prevention Department. We offer four core programmes, which last between 2.5 and 4 hours: • SafetyStars for pupils in Years 2 • SafetyQuest for pupils in Years 5 • SafeWise for teenagers and young people • SaferTogether for adult visitors attending as a part of a community group. We are seeking a creative partner, with experience in producing special effects and / or technology for the education or visitor attraction sectors, to work with us to develop a more immersive and interactive experience . This may include video projection (real life or animated), sound effects, physical effects or any other ideas you might have. In short, we are open to innovative ideas of delivering our messaging within the area that we currently have.

About the buyer
Cheshire Fire Authority governs Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service as a blue light buyer. The Authority has 23 elected members from Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Warrington. A procurement department buys goods and services for every fire station and community safety centre. Smaller purchases need three written quotes, and larger requirements go to formal tender. An Ethical Procurement Strategy sets the standards suppliers are expected to meet.
Over the past 5 years, most of the Cheshire Fire Authority's contract awards have been in software and information systems, IT services and security and defence equipment.
