Tender description
WRAP’s Materials Systems Transformation programme seeks to design out waste during production and consumption and retain its value and mitigate the damage being inflicted on our planet. We take a holistic approach to protect and restore our natural world: gathering 3 and considering the evidence, collaborating with all partners in the system and proposing circular solutions that work across the supply chain. This Framework will support WRAP’s ongoing efforts in technical and policy support, stakeholder engagement, and citizen-facing campaigns across multiple regions by aiming to appoint suppliers who can help WRAP reach our target outcomes for both Transforming Textiles & Prevent Problem Plastics & Packaging. The Framework has been divided into 2 Lots. Organisations can apply for one or both Lots should they wish. Tailored applications should be submitted for each Lot and will be evaluated separately. Work awarded under the Framework will be on a call-off basis and awarded either through a mini-competition or direct award. About the buyer
Waste and Resources Action Programme is a UK-registered charity that buys as a central body, funded chiefly by Defra. Established in 2000, the programme operates as a company limited by guarantee. Devolved-nation funders include the Welsh Government, Zero Waste Scotland and the Northern Ireland Executive. Tender opportunities are published on Delta, its dedicated procurement portal. Suppliers register on Delta to receive notifications matching their expertise. Every tender must be submitted through Delta rather than sent directly to the programme. Questions on live tenders go through Delta's own Message Centre rather than direct contact.
Procurement spend from central entities makes up 66% of overall UK public spend.
Over the past 5 years, most of Waste and Resources Action Programme's contract awards have been in business services, waste, cleaning and environmental services and architectural and engineering services.
