About the buyer
London Borough of Camden is a local government organisation serving the borough, and publishes its own guidance for suppliers on doing business with the council. Suppliers register with Contracts Finder and Find a Tender, the free government portals where Camden lists its opportunities and awarded contracts. Camden only accepts bids submitted through its own e-tendering portal. Enquiries about a specific tender go to the named contact listed on Contracts Finder or Find a Tender. Separate procurement teams handle ICT and professional services, environmental services, and supporting communities work such as construction and refurbishment.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of London Borough of Camden's contract awards have been in IT services, health and social work and architectural and engineering services.
