18-132 PUBLIC WI-FI & BROADBAND CONNECTION AT WALESWOOD CARAVAN AND CAMPING PARK

Tender description

Rotherham Borough Council is developing a new Caravan Site at Rother Valley Country Park (Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park) as part of efforts to promote the visitor economy, to enhance the image of the borough as an attractive and welcoming place, and to generate income that will contribute to net budget savings. Income projections depend on the quality of facilities and service at the site. The availability of Wi-Fi for customers has been identified as an essential requirement in this regard, both through consultation with potential users and comparison with other high quality caravan and camping sites. Furthermore, an internet connection is required at the caravan site for access by staff to the Council’s network, and for the operation of security systems. 1.1 Overview of the Requirements Provision of services within Waleswood Caravan and Camping Park, comprising two main elements as follows:- Element A High speed internet connection for • Back-office functions, including access to corporate IT network and on-line booking system. • EPOS till system, • CCTV, • vehicle access control systems, • intruder and fire alarms, • disabled call alarm system • VOIP telephone service Element B Public Wi-Fi • to reach all caravan and camping pitches across the entire site and • within the reception/café building.
