It is expected that support will be offered within the community to suit the participant. • In partnership with other organisations support young people (18-21) who are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET) i.e. those in/leaving the care system, ex-offenders, and those who are hardest to reach. • Support young people to engage in life skills connecting with local services to help them on their journey towards employment – such as bringing together multi-agency teams to join up a variety of services around an individual, to address the variety of barriers to employment they may face. • In addition to support the young person to improve their mental and/or physical health to help them to progress into or towards employment, education or training, continued job search or registration onto another support programme. Once engaged we would expect the successful provider to support the improvement of low level mental and physical health for example stress, loneliness and inactivity. In addition, the successful provider will be required to support the young person to increase their life skills, such as motivation, confidence and barrier removal to help progression into or towards employment, education or training, continued job search or registration onto another support programme. Providers will be able to decide how best to work with their participants, but it is expected that this will take place within the ward/s and venue/s to best suit the participant. The Provider will deliver the contracted outputs and achieve outcomes as per contract for eligible participants and duly complete relevant paperwork and submit timely reports. The Provider will be expected to establish participant need and agree an individual tailored plan for their development. Detailed description of services requirements For this programme, we require Providers to deliver a customised programme to include but not exclusive to: • Engage Participants • Plan and support the individual through their journey • Support the individual through their journey and help to remove barriers that prevent them moving into employment by providing activities • Support participants with their mental and physical health • Motivate the participant to reach their goal • Counsel • Job search • Develop their resilience and build confidence • Support progression into employment and / or further learning Progression from this programme includes referral to professional support and referral (if eligible) to Adult Education Budget (AEB) or other learning interventions. Suggested minimum intervention It is expected that each participant should receive a minimum of 20-hours supported intervention. However, if an outcome is achieved within a shorter period of time together with providing all the necessary paperwork and evidence required the Provider will be paid accordingly. Additional conditions Within this submission, we ask Providers to evidence the following requirements which are included in the weighting of the scoring process: • Commitment to sustainability practices. Experience in supporting businesses with issues relating to the circular economy and working towards Net Zero targets It is anticipated that all businesses will be supported to explore practices and procedures in their business that can contribute to the reduction of their carbon footprint in some way. We are keen to see how applicants will achieve this, and how this is achieved within their own business. • Commitment to supporting diverse businesses and communities. We are keen to see how applicants work with businesses from a diverse range of communities and typologies of businesses. For example, how applicants both work with and promote, global majority-owned/ managed businesses, non-traditional business structures, businesses owned and managed by women or those from LGBTQ+ communities’ ex- offenders or others facing disadvantage in the labour market. • Social Value Considerations and Contributions.
