Provision of Insurance Services - Multi Lot

Tender description

The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced contractor(s) for the provision of insurance services. This provision is procured via the YPO Insurance Placement DPS 1198 Framework agreement for Insurance by means of a Mini Competition. The insurance provision has been divided into 10 Lots: Lot 1 - Property Damage/Business Interruption Lot 2 - Liability Insurance Lot 3 - Professional Indemnity Lot 4 - Director & Officers Liability Lot 5 - Motor Fleet Lot 6 - Engineering Inspection Lot 7 - Crime Lot 8 - Computer Lot 9 - Personal Accident/Business Travel Lot 10 - Terrorism Contract Commenement 1st October 2026 to 31st July 2029 with the option to extend the contract by up to an additional 2 periods of 12 months. Lot 1: Property Damage / Business Interruption All Risks of physical loss or damage to Property including: - Extended Theft (whether or not involving forcible and violent entry to or exit from the buildings) - Glass - Subsidence Principal Extensions. Business Interuption Cover: Loss resulting from interruption of or interference with the Business at the Premises, consequent upon Property Damage (as per the Property Damage section of cover): Gross Revenue – loss of Gross Revenue and Increased Cost of Working Additional Increased Cost of Working Lot 2: Liability Insurance Employers' Liability Section - Insured subject to the Limit of Indemnity Additionally cover for - Overseas Employees extension. Public / Products Liability section - including Hirers Liability and Libel & Slander. Lot 4: Directors and Officers Liability Director & Officers Liability insurance cover - The Insurer will pay to or on behalf of each Insured Person, Loss for which the Insured Person has not been indemnified by the Company. ‘Loss’ includes Defence Costs in respect of a Claim first made against an Insured Person during the Policy Period for a Wrongful Act, Pre-Claim Inquiry Costs and awards of damages Lot 5: Motor Fleet Motor Fleet insurance cover - Any motor vehicle the property of the policy holder or in their care, custody or control Property damage to vehicles: Loss of or damage to the insured vehicle including accessories caused by accidental means including malicious damage by any person, fire, theft or attempt thereat. Liability to third parties: Legal liability for death of or injury to third parties or damage to third party property, including legal fees incurred. Lot 6: Engineering Inspection Engineering Inspection insurance cover - Inspection of the Plant and issue of reports including where necessary to comply with statutory requirements for the Plant. Lot 8: Computer Computer insurance cover - Damage, Reinstatement of Date, Increase cost of working, E-Risk virus and hacking. - Property - Hardware - Computer Equipment - Portable Equipment - Computer records Lot 10: Terrorism Terrorism insurance cover - Insures the property advised to insurers against direct physical loss or physical damage by an act or series of acts of terrorism and / or sabotage occurring during the period of the policy. Lot 3: Professional Indemnity Professional Indemnity insurance cover: Indemnify the Insured against civil liability for - compensatory damages payable pursuant to an award or judgment entered against the Insured; - sums payable as damages as a result of a settlement of any Claim; - claimants costs; in respect of a breach of professional duty in the provision of the Professional Services. Lot 7: Crime Crime Insurance cover - Indemnity against any Loss sustained by the Insured as a direct result of a Crime first Discovered in the Policy Period or Discovery Period. Lot 9: Personal Accident / Business Travel Personal Accident / Business Travel insurance cover - If within the Operative Time an Insured Person sustains a Bodily Injury the Insurer shall pay a benefit to the Insured in accordance with the Sum Insured shown in the specification subject to any appropriate policy limits.
