Tender description

LCRCA is progressing the transition of the Liverpool City Region bus fleet towards a zero-emission operation. As part of this programme, LCRCA has approximately £50 million of TCR1 funding available for investment in fleet decarbonisation. LCRCA is proposing to commission an evidence-based strategy for how this funding could best be deployed across zero-emission vehicles, vehicle repowering, and associated depot and charging infrastructure, while considering both the immediate benefits achievable through TCR1 and the longer-term pathway towards a fully zero-emission bus fleet. The work is expected to consider the bus fleet and associated infrastructure at Birkenhead, Bootle, Green Lane, St Helens, and Speke depots and the services operating from these locations.
