About the buyer

Cyngor Sir Ynys Mon is the local authority for the Isle of Anglesey, procuring through its own Corporate Procurement Unit. Individual services handle their own buying, with the Procurement Unit providing central guidance and value-for-money oversight. Competitions run through open or restricted procedures, the latter using a pre-qualification questionnaire. The council also draws on collaborative All-Wales contracts for recurring categories such as stationery and furniture.

Over the past 5 years, most of Cyngor Sir Ynys Mon's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and industrial machinery.
