Tender description

Notting Hill Genesis (NHG) have procured Contractors for the delivery of their Lift Modernisation Programme. The procurement of these Contracts was carried out in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR15) and the Terms and Conditions of the NHG Planned Upgrade/Improvement Works Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). It was intended that the Contracts will run for a period of one year with the option for renewal, as decided by NHG, for an extension of up to a further one year, subject to satisfactory reviews based upon performance and quality of service and delivery. The maximum duration of the Contracts is therefore two years. In order to promote an appropriate balance between capacity, resilience and market participation, NHG determined that no Tenderer could be awarded more than two Lots under this procurement (excluding Lot 5). Accordingly, while up to four Lots could be awarded in total, no single Tenderer could be awarded more than two (excluding Lot 5). Lot 1: North East For the lift replacement or modification of 5 sites. Lot 2: West For the lift replacement or modification of 7 sites. Lot 3: East For the lift replacement or modification of 7 sites. Lot 4: South/South East For the lift replacement or modification of 6 sites. Lot 5: High Risk Buildings (incl. design) Engineering design services for the lift replacement or modification of 10 sites.

About the buyer

Notting Hill Housing Trust is a London housing association that trades as Notting Hill Genesis, with a dedicated procurement team. Smaller opportunities go to an informal quotation round, larger ones to a formal tender inviting at least three suppliers. Notting Hill Genesis also buys through shared frameworks with Procurement for Housing and the Crown Commercial Service. A Responsible Procurement Charter and standard purchase terms set out what is expected of suppliers.

Over the past 5 years, most of Notting Hill Housing Trust's contract awards have been in business services, construction work and education and training.
