Tender description
River Clyde Homes are looking to procure a competent and experienced company to undertake common close electrical upgrade works and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s). Lot 1: River Clyde Homes are looking to procure a competent and experienced company to undertake common close electrical upgrade works and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s). There are three main work streams which will all require to be addressed as soon as possible following contract award: - There are circa 140 EICRs that need to be completed by April 2027, and then a rolling list of EICRS across the lifecycle of the contract - There is a backlog of remedial repair works that are required to be undertaken on properties. This will include the installation of main switch isolators. - There are properties that have been identified that require full upgrade works. The EICR testing is required in the communal areas of common closes, within high rise blocks and supported living accommodation. Once provided with the EICR, if agreeable, RCH will instruct the successful company to carry out any required remedial work on the back of the EICR findings, including the rewiring of the closes and installing main switch isolators. An example scope of works for the Total Upgrade workstream is provided at Appendix F and an address list of the properties that require EICRs and subsequent works is attached at Appendix G. Any replacement parts or installed material must be fit for purpose and be open protocol where possible. The contract will initially be for a period of two years, with an option to extend it for a further two 12-month periods, subject to contract performance and the agreement of the successful bidder. Interested parties must first evidence to River Clyde Homes via the SPD that they have the requisite technical capacity, and experience to undertake works of this nature before they will be taken forward to the full tender evaluation. Bidders have the opportunity to satisfy themselves before tendering as to the typical properties where the works require to be carried out. Bidders may arrange a site visit by contacting RCH’s Compliance Team Leader Martin Mullan: Email Martin.mullan@riverclydehomes.org.uk No uplift in the submitted tendered rates will be accepted by RCH due to the preferred bidder’s lack of knowledge of the works required.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
