Tender description

The proposed scheme comprises structural intervention works to introduce flood prevention measures and provide structural support to the land adjacent to the existing River Ilen and Caol Stream, Skibbereen, Co. Cork The scope of works include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. The provision of access and all other measures required to undertake works in a safe manner (inc. temporary works if required). 2. Phasing and sequencing. 3. Site clearance and vegetation clearance. 4. Environmental protection measures for the River Ilen and the Caol Stream during the Works. 5. Installation of a steel sheet pile wall adjacent to the River Ilen over an extents of 64m. 6. Pressure grouting voids behind existing wall adjacent to the Caol Stream over an extents of 45m (inc. sealing advanced sealing of gaps) 7. Installation of precast concrete fascia panels to the riverside face of the steel sheet pile wall and construction of reinforced concrete capping beam to the top of the steel sheet pile wall. 8. Construction of reinforced concrete capping beam. 9. Placement and compaction of fill material. 10. Placement of cobblelock walkway surfacing. 11. Installation of new glass flood barrier, connected to the top of the reinfoced concrete capping beam along the top of the steel sheet pile wall 12. Drainage and utilities. 13. Removal of timber frame structure adjoining to building adjacent to Levis Quay Wall and provision of retractable canopy as part of accomodation works.. 14. Monitoring existing affected structures during the works. 15. Ancillary works associated with steel sheet pile construction
