Tender description

The Council is seeking a contractor for the provision and maintenance of textile banks and uplift of textiles for reuse and recycling. There are currently 65 banks needed however this number will vary throughout the length of the contract. It is proposed that the DPS option is pursued. The use of the DPS recognises that suppliers have already carried out the work to be pre-qualified and is less resource intensive but still allows Local Authorities to have control over specifications within the tender. The use of a DPS also honours the Councils preferred procurement hierarchy. Lot 1: Perth and Kinross Council are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to enter into a two year contract, with the option to extend by 3 additional one year periods, commencing on 31st May 2026 for the processing of textiles for re-use and recycling. The Council requires the Service Provider to deliver textile banks to all locations specified by the Council, to empty the textile banks regularly and process the collected textiles.
