About the buyer

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust delivers mental health, learning disability and autism services, and buys as an NHS foundation trust through a shared regional procurement service. Hertfordshire and West Essex NHS Procurement Services runs strategic and transactional procurement for the trust and partner providers. Suppliers register through Atamis, the shared service's eCommercial system. Contracts Finder lists smaller opportunities alongside the regional portal. The trust is lead provider in the East of England Collaborative, working with five NHS mental health providers. Care extends into Buckinghamshire, Norfolk and Essex.

UK health spending has nearly quadrupled to £241.8bn in 2024/25, £20bn up on the year before. £140.6bn of that went to procurement, the biggest sector of UK public spending and the fastest-growing.

Over the past 5 years, most of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust's contract awards have been in construction work, IT services and architectural and engineering services.
