Monaghan County Council wishes to tender for: Monaghan Peace Campus Café (The Monaghan Peace Campus facility is funded through PEACE IV Programme managed by SEUPB)

Tender description

The Monaghan Peace Campus Café will form part of the wider Monaghan Peace Campus, a public, multi use civic building that accommodates cultural, educational, community, and public services. The café is intended to operate as a social enterprise and also as a welcoming, accessible hospitality space that supports the overall function of the Peace Campus as a shared community and events hub. The café offering is envisaged as providing high quality food and beverage services to support: • staff and service users within the Peace Campus, • 128,068.00 visitors to the building in the year 2025 • Over 400 attendees at meetings, events, and programmed activities. The café operation is designed to complement and enhance the activities of co located services within the Campus, including cultural and public facilities, while contributing to a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere within the building. The Peace Campus hosts over 600 events and programmed activities each year, generating substantial visitor traffic. Attendance levels regularly exceed 400 people per week, with activity taking place during both daytime and evening hours, providing consistent opportunities for café trade throughout the week. At present, Monaghan Peace Campus is not operating a full café service. Historic trading activity relating to food and beverage services is limited to external catering provision and sales from the on site barista bar. The future development of the café will be shaped by demand, programming within the Peace Campus, and the approach proposed by the appointed Tenderer. The café operation will be expected to align with the values and ethos of Monaghan Peace Campus, including: • community engagement, • quality and value for money, • sustainability, • and collaboration with other services and stakeholders located within the building.
