Tender description
South Lanarkshire Council's Education Resources, Support Services and School Estate, and Community and Enterprise Resources, Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, have an ongoing requirement for the supply of industrial gases. These gases are primarily used for heating purposes within Council-owned buildings and for general maintenance activities undertaken by Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, with most of the expenditure attributable to Education Services. Lot 1: The contract period will from 1 August 2026 – 31 July 2030 (4 years) with no option to extend. The purpose of this procurement is to establish a compliant contract for the Supply of Industrial Gases to ensure continuity of service which delivers best value and supports compliance with the Council's Standing Orders relating to Contracts and Scottish Procurement Legislation. The Call-Off Contract has been awarded via further competition under GCA National Fuels 3 Framework RM6305, Lot 2 – Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) (National).
