Tender description

Installation of wind bracing to roof structure (trusses). After investigation into structural issues with a number of properties it was discovered that the trusses are missing adequate wind bracing. Demolition and rebuild of gable ends and structural bracing to gable ends as describe in the structural engineer’s reports contained within the tender package. Roof covering replacement where required as stated in structural engineer’s reports. Install wind bracing to all roof trusses following the structural engineer’s reports contained within the specification.Ensure adequate measures where required are implemented where reasonably practicable to reduce the risk of operatives falling through the ceiling finish plus ensuring the safety of any occupants below. Properties will be decanted where required and others will be occupied during the works. The contractor must clean all surrounding areas and all scaffolding, sheeting and rubbish to be removed from site. Lot 1: Installation of wind bracing to roof structure (trusses).
