The purchase of two new 450 m armoured cable is required to tow a modified sand-eel dredge to monitor sand-eel distribution around North Sea Scottish coasts. The cable will also be used in Wet Renewable surveys and observation of Nephrops distribution, in areas where particularly hard sea-bed would quickly damage conventional plastic cables
