About the buyer

Leicestershire County Council buys as a local authority. Some contracts also run through frameworks set up by outside bodies, including ESPO, and suppliers apply to join those directly. The council itself trades nationally as ESPO, running framework agreements for public bodies nationwide. A two-year procurement plan on the council's open data site lists contracts still to come.

Over the past 5 years, most of Leicestershire County Council's contract awards have been in transport services, construction work and architectural and engineering services.
