Tender description
This service is part of the City of Edinburgh Council’s wider Discover Programme which supports primary-school aged children and their families who are experiencing, or at risk, of poverty. The cooking, nutrition and food activities take place during the school holidays and provide educational cooking sessions and food boxes for children and their families. Lot 1: In this instance, a short-term contract (1yr + up to 12 month optional extension) was directly awarded to the incumbent provider to enable the continuation of the existing service, whilst the commissioning strategy and procurement process for the future longer-term contract is agreed/undertaken. This award methodology will mitigate the risk of a gap in delivery of the services, minimising the impact on the service users.
