260126 - Supply of Long Read Sequencing Services with chromosome-specific telomere length measurements

Queens University Belfast (Queen’s) requires the provision of a long-read sequencing and analysis service.<br /><br />These samples are from DNA extracted from buffy coats. This study involves human participants only. <br /><br />This service should also include chromosome arm specific telomere length measurements via LRS. <br />The service should include sample quality control, library preparation, and LRS on a suitable sequencing platform and timely transfer of generated data to Queen’s. All raw data should be provided. The purpose of this analysis is to support Queen’s research into how chromosome degradation impacts aging and age-related diseases.<br /><br />As the DNA extraction is still under way, this tender will be for the batch-sequencing of samples on an ongoing and potentially irregular basis. The contract will initially be for a period of 2 years, however, the University reserves the right, on agreement with the successful company, to extend its duration under the same conditions for a further period of up to circa 20 months until 30th April 2030.<br /><br />
