ZODIAC Managing Agent

Tender description

The scope of this procurement forms part of the future ZODIAC Project, which is part of Digital and Data's Mission Information Exploitation (MIX) Service Executive. ZODIAC aims to deliver an integrated Land Intelligence, Surveillance, Target, Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) Command and Control (C2) system that connects sensors, decision makers and effectors, to enable the deployed force to operate with greater lethality and survivability. The intent of the project is to support wholesale transformation of the LAND ISTAR domain, through digitisation of existing processes and the longer term support to doctrine changes as a result of technology delivery. The requirement for this procurement is for the provision of a Managing Agent (MA) that will establish, design and deliver a genuine shared venture across an ecosystem of suppliers to deliver continuous improvement of the ZODIAC Capability through Research and Development (R&D), Service Integration (SI) and the Commissioning and Scaling of the ZODIAC solution. Building on the work to date by the project produced under the Alpha, Beta, Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and Prototype Bridging Contract (PBC) Phases, to establish a solid solution foundation for further development. It will follow a formal Scaled Agile (SAFe) approach for incremental delivery and will further develop and build upon the work already undertaken, delivering a warfighting capability to the hands of the user in iterative spiral development and deployment.
