Tender description
Leicestershire County Council Residential Care (Adults aged 18-64) Provider Engagement Event We are excited to announce that Leicestershire County Council will be holding an in-person event on the 21st March 2025 at County Hall in Glenfield and would like to extend an invitation to residential care providers with provisions for complex and specialist support for people aged 18-64. We are hoping to engage with providers who support individuals with complex care and support needs, to discuss progression and the idea of step-through residential care. Whilst the day will include some presentations, there will also be networking opportunities and the opportunity to have a 1 :1 discussion with our Senior Leadership Team and Commissioners. Due to limited spaces, we kindly ask you to complete this form to register your interest in attending the event by Monday the 3rd of March 2025. Your attendance will be confirmed by Friday the 7th of March 2025. Please access the form via the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/nTgRQ3i1tk Please be aware spaces are limited, registering your interest does not guarantee you a space at the event. If you are unable to attend the event but wish to have a separate consultation, please indicate this in the form. If you have any queries, or require further assistance, please contact: Kate Revell - Head of Service (Commissioning and Quality) - kate.revell@leics.gov.uk We look forward to your participation in this event.

About the buyer
Leicestershire County Council buys as a local authority, advertising larger contracts on the government's Find a Tender service. Smaller contracts appear separately on Contracts Finder, the portal for lower-value public work. Some contracts also run through frameworks set up by outside bodies, including ESPO, and suppliers apply to join those directly. The council itself trades nationally as ESPO, running framework agreements for public bodies nationwide. A two-year procurement plan on the council's open data site lists contracts still to come. Suppliers must also register on Find a Tender, a requirement since April 2026.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Leicestershire County Council's contract awards have been in transport services, construction work and architectural and engineering services.
