About the buyer
Cork County Council is the local authority for County Cork, buying under a Corporate Procurement Policy last updated in 2020. Tender competitions weigh cost at no less than 30% of the marks available, under council procurement rules. Each year the council reviews its own purchasing under Ireland's Public Spending Code. A statutory audit report on council spending goes to its elected members annually.
Over the past 5 years, most of Cork County Council's contract awards have been in construction work, construction materials and architectural and engineering services.
