About the buyer
The North East Combined Authority bought as a local authority body in the North East of England. Service Level Agreements let neighbouring councils carry out work on its behalf. Durham County Council was its main partner for procurement exercises. Constituent council officers led some processes, and the Monitoring Officer's department led the rest. Procurement followed the financial regulations in Part 5 of its Constitution. Goods and services were contracted on standard terms.
Over the past 5 years, most of the North East Combined Authority's contract awards have been in education and training, business services and research and development.
