About the buyer
Donegal County Council is a local authority in the Republic of Ireland, procuring through a team inside its Finance department. Competitions are advertised on eTenders, the national portal, with larger contracts also listed in the Official Journal of the European Union. National frameworks for goods and services run through BuyerZone, the state's shared catalogue. The council also draws on frameworks arranged by the Local Government Operational Procurement Centre, hosted at Kerry County Council. Dynamic purchasing systems for certain categories run through SupplyGov. Smaller purchases go to direct written quotations rather than open tender.
€29.5bn was the estimated value of contracts awarded across the Irish public sector in 2025.
