About the buyer
The Forestry Commission is a non-ministerial department for forestry policy, with procurement run through its agencies, Forestry England and Forest Research, coordinated by a Bristol-based commercial team. District offices handle smaller purchases locally through direct quotations. Frameworks, including the Crown Commercial Service, supply many everyday goods and services. Dynamic purchasing systems cover recurring work such as tree planting, civil engineering, fencing and wildlife management.
Over the past 5 years, most of the Forestry Commission's contract awards have been in agricultural and horticultural services, construction work and business services.
