Tender description
WV Active manages 3 facilities in Wolverhampton which include Aldersley Leisure Village, Bert Williams Leisure Centre and Central Baths. These centres have a wide variety of facilities and varying service users which creates varying requirements. We are currently using a Leisure Management solution that was first installed 7 years ago based on requirements at the time. In the intervening period the solution has been updated and added to in order to meet changing requirements of our business and customers. We would like to investigate what solutions and technology exist in the Leisure Management market and what these can offer the business and our customers. Any solution should ideally be available as an “off the shelf” product to enable a speedy implementation but have the flexibility to be amended/configured to meet specific requirements. The new solution should allow for any changes/configuration to be easily actioned by WV Active personnel. Keywords: Leisure Management, Cloud Hosted

About the buyer
Wolverhampton City Council is a local authority that runs its own corporate procurement function covering goods and services for the city. Tenders and contract opportunities are published through the ProContract portal, where free registration takes about ten minutes. A public contracts register lists every live agreement the council holds. Projects due for retender within the next three years appear in a rolling procurement pipeline. Many requirements are sourced through existing frameworks, where suppliers have already pre-competed, rather than run as fresh competitions. Registered suppliers are notified automatically when a new opportunity matches their expertise.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Wolverhampton City Council's contract awards have been in architectural and engineering services, construction work and health and social work.
