Tender description

The University of Southampton currently utilises Taxi services to transport students, patients, visitors and staff between sites and other destinations, for business, academic and health purposes. Journeys mainly, but not solely, occur during the daytime, throughout the year.<br /><br />The University of Southampton is proposing to establish a Framework Agreement, which will be split into two Lots as set out below;<br /><br />Lot 1: For the provision of Local Taxi Services - The majority of these journeys taking place within the Southampton area. This local taxi service would also need to provide journeys across the Southern Region of the UK in rarer circumstances where the collection point or destination point would be in Southampton or the surrounding area.<br /><br />Lot 2: For the provision of Airport Transfer Services – The majority of journeys going to and from airports, in particular London Heathrow and London Gatwick. This service would also need to provide journeys to other UK airports in rarer circumstances, including but not limited to London Stansted, Southampton International and Bournemouth International airports. The Airport Transfer service is expected to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.<br /><br />
