About the buyer
South Yorkshire Police is the territorial police force for South Yorkshire, and buys as a blue light body with its own procurement team. Contract notices for its larger tenders appear on Find a Tender. Much of what it buys moves through frameworks run by BlueLight Commercial, the national commercial body for policing. Suppliers register free on the Atamis e-commercial platform to view live blue light opportunities. Legacy opportunities continue to be hosted on the In-tend system. Suppliers already registered with Atamis for the 7Forces group do not need to register again.
The top 10 blue light buyers spent a collective £2.2bn between FY2021 and FY2025.
Over the past 5 years, most of South Yorkshire Police's contract awards have been in software and information systems, office and computing equipment and IT services.
