Tender description

The University of Exeter currently employs third party consultants to act on behalf of the University in selected overseas regions. These regions have been identified as strategically important for international student recruitment and partnership activity. These consultants are managed by the third party entity and work exclusively with the respective regional manager or main contact within the University of Exeter International Office. These consultants will then be seen as official representatives within carrying out extensive operations for the institution as well as acting as a point of contact for key stakeholders across the stated region. The current international student recruitment landscape is challenging with increasing competition both at home and in other overseas study abroad destinations and having the option to offer a consistent presence in market is seen as a key objective to remain competitive. ## Contract award Title: International Student Recruitment - Overseas Offices Framework ## Contract award ## Contract award

About the buyer

University of Exeter is a higher education institution that runs its own procurement centrally through a dedicated Procurement Services team. Suppliers register on CTM, the university's e-tendering system, to monitor and respond to opportunities as they appear. Larger contracts above this threshold are advertised nationally through Find a Tender and Contracts Finder. Much of this procurement flows through frameworks including the Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium and the Crown Commercial Service. Catering contracts run through the separate TUCO framework. Competitive tendering, not a fixed list of approved suppliers, decides who wins the work in the end.

Education procurement reached £47.4bn in 2024/25, the fourth-largest public sector budget.

Over the past 5 years, most of University of Exeter's contract awards have been in construction work, IT services and laboratory and precision equipment.
