Tender description
The aim of the Whole Family Wellbeing Support Service is to support pregnant women and their families and families with children up to three years old, who are resident in Angus and referred to the service by Angus Council Children, Families and Justice Service or project partners. The service will work alongside NHS services, supporting the needs assessment and will support families to access and engage with early help that they need. Using holistic family support approaches, this will prevent the family experiencing crisis or the need for statutory social work intervention. The service will support families with children who are resident in Angus and match them to the service that best suits their needs. Lot 1: This Contract is for the provision of a Whole Family Wellbeing Support Service (WFWSS) for families with children who are resident in Angus, to match families with the service that best suits their needs, and engage with families who make a request for additional support either directly or through Maternity and Health Visiting Services. This contract is planned for a 1 November 2025 start date and to be in place for 3 years with an end date of 31 October 2028.. The Contract is for 3 years.

About the buyer
Angus Council runs local government services from Forfar, and buys as a local authority with its own procurement team. Tenders and quotes appear on Public Contracts Scotland, the national portal for Scottish public bodies. Central purchasing body contracts offer a further route alongside competitive tenders. The Tayside Procurement Consortium pools buying power with Dundee City and Perth and Kinross councils, active since 2007. An approved list of roads suppliers is reviewed each year, with new applications invited through the portal. Roads maintenance work can also involve Tayside Contracts, the councils' shared in-house works arm.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Angus Council's contract awards have been in transport equipment, transport services and architectural and engineering services.
