About the buyer
Northern Ireland Housing Executive is Northern Ireland's public housing authority, and it buys through its own Corporate Procurement Unit. Every current tender is published on eTendersNI, the region's official procurement portal for public sector bodies. Larger opportunities also appear on Find a Tender for wider national visibility. Some services are sourced through framework agreements, including one covering agency staff. The Corporate Procurement Unit sets annual requirements for response maintenance, planned maintenance and professional services work. Suppliers register directly with eTendersNI before bidding for any upcoming contracts.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive's contract awards have been in architectural and engineering services, business services and agricultural and forestry products.
