Tender description
Moccas Park Tree Survey: The Moccas Park National Nature Reserve has a history dating back to its use as a Norman deer park and a landscape influenced by many of the leading landscape designers of the eighteenth century. The park contains one of the finest and most important collections of ancient trees in England and is home to an extraordinary number of rare invertebrates associated with the dead and decaying wood found in these ancient trees. The specified work is intended to provide a comprehensive audit of the trees in the deer park and to enable the tracking of tree loss and decline and occurrence of veteran tree habitats. To apply for this opportunity you must submit your quotation meeting the requirements detailed in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) attached. Your response must be sent to alice.james@naturalengland.org.uk by 17:00 on 15/11/2024. About the buyer
Natural England is a non-departmental public body, and buys through its own eSourcing portal for organisations wanting to work with it. Registration on the portal is free, and suppliers can browse live opportunities without commitment. Contract awards and the documents behind them are published separately on Contracts Finder, the government's central register for public sector contract opportunities and awards. Procurement queries can be directed to Natural England's own procurement support team, or to Defra's central procurement contact, depending on the enquiry. Successful bidders must supply a Dun & Bradstreet DUNS number before a contract is confirmed.
Procurement spend from central entities makes up 66% of overall UK public spend.
Over the past 5 years, most of Natural England's contract awards have been in research and development, waste, cleaning and environmental services and architectural and engineering services.
