About the buyer
National Records of Scotland is Scotland's civil registration and statistics agency, and buys as a central government body with its own procurement team. Goods, works and services are acquired through competition wherever possible. Collaborative contracts with fellow public bodies sit alongside routes through Scotland Excel and the Crown Commercial Service. A published Procurement Strategy and annual procurement reports set out these routes for suppliers.
Over the past 5 years, most of National Records of Scotland's contract awards have been in software and information systems, business services and IT services.
