About the buyer

Opportunities are advertised on YORtender, the regional e-procurement portal. A new Atamis portal, free to register on, is replacing YORtender. Full tenders are also published on the Central Digital Platform in line with national thresholds. Procurement Services, led by a Head of Procurement, runs the process and approves any departure from corporate contracts.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's contract awards have been in IT services, construction work and health and social work.
