About the buyer

London Borough of Waltham Forest is a local authority that sources its quotes and tenders through the ProContract e-tendering system. Registration on this shared London portal is free and gives suppliers access to opportunities from around twenty London boroughs. Contract opportunities are advertised on the London Tenders Portal and on Contracts Finder. Higher-value contracts above the national procurement thresholds also appear on Find a Tender. A dynamic purchasing system is the route for specialist professional services. Purchase orders and invoice payments are handled through the council's Oracle Cloud supplier portal.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of London Borough of Waltham Forest's contract awards have been in health and social work, architectural and engineering services and IT services.
