Tender description
Cheshire West and Chester Council are in the process of recommissioning their Technology Enabled Care contract. As part of this recommission, we are also reviewing our current Community Equipment offer. We are interested in speaking to the market and learning about the different models of technology and equipment services, including examples where these services may be combined and delivered by one provider. We want to learn from provider experience and gage from the market who may be interested in working with us in the future for either one or both of these services provisions. We have two days available in April where we will be holding soft market testing sessions online. These will take place on the 29th and 30th April. If you would like a slot to discuss your services and learn more about the Local Authorities ambitions for these services, please email Rebecca Cooke: Rebecca.cooke@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk Please advise who you are and what services you deliver and a timeslot will be sent to you. Keywords: equipment, telecare

About the buyer
Cheshire West and Chester Council is a unitary local authority covering north-west Cheshire, and buys through its own procurement team. Contract opportunities are advertised on The Chest, the North West's shared procurement portal for local authorities. Larger opportunities are also published nationally on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder. Registering on The Chest gives suppliers access to opportunities across every North West local authority, not just this council. The council runs a strict no purchase order, no pay policy, so suppliers need an order number before invoicing. Procurement enquiries go through a dedicated central procurement mailbox.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Cheshire West and Chester Council's contract awards have been in business services, construction work and architectural and engineering services.
