About the buyer
Laois County Council is the local authority for County Laois, and its Procurement Team provides strategic procurement advice across the council. Staff must check for relevant frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems before running their own competition. National contracts coordinated by the Office of Government Procurement cover areas such as energy, ICT, legal, cleaning and security. Lower-value purchases go to a direct invitation for at least three quotations.
Over the past 5 years, most of Laois County Council's contract awards have been in construction work, business services and security and defence equipment.
